What information do we require to provide a suggestion / estimate for a Vertical Baler?
Q – What type of material do you wish to process?
- Different recyclables may require different solutions. We have specific balers for e.g., aluminum cans, plastic bottles, hard plastics, textiles, and more.
Q – How much material do you generate per week?
- Balers are designed with differing capacity levels. Smaller locations are normally best served by a smaller sized vertical baler. A small vertical baler takes up minimal space and makes bales that fit easily through doorways and can be managed by a single person. For larger volumes of material, a medium or large vertical baler can be a better option, the higher the capacity, the larger the bale, the less handling of bales produced.
Q – What size bale would you like to produce?
- Smaller bales are easier to manage and can be maneuvered through standard doorways, while larger bales on pallets can contribute directly to revenue return. Your local waste handling company can support you on this issue. Some may pay for baled material in certain sizes, weights, or volumes. Or you just prefer a large baler to store away your recyclables quickly and easily.
Q – How much space do you have available?
- A facility’s specific space requirements should be taken into consideration. It is vital to think about whether operations can continue properly around the baler once it is installed.
- Vertical Balers may require:
- Upwards of 12 feet of vertical space.
- Clearance around baler, 28” clearance both sides and back
- An exterior door adequate to bring baler into the building
- Space to eject bale and move it out of the building
- Space to store bales until truckload quantity is reached
- Electrical disconnect within 10’ of the vertical baler
Q – What are your electrical requirements? What electrical service do you have available?
- Do you have single or three phase electrical service available at the presumed location of the vertical baler? Our small range of vertical balers are available in single phase, medium and large range vertical balers come in three phases.
Q – Do you have a Forklift at ground level on site?
- The vertical baler is shipped standing up or lying down on a flatbed truck. Customers will require a minimum 5000 lbs capacity forklift to remove the vertical baler from the flatbed truck upon delivery.
