Balers & Compactors

Ship-generated garbage, such as paper, various plastic waste, cardboard and packaging materials can be compacted and reduce the volume of garbage into bales. When enough material exists in the chamber to form a bale, the baling bands are secured around the material and a bale is produced. The volume reduction can be up to 80-90% of the original volume depending on the material.

Can Crushers

Food tins and drinks cans are a high volume waste all of which is considered contaminated. Very often this waste can become odorous and a hazard to health in storage. This material is recyclable and is passed to shore for this purpose. Can Crushers are used for crushing empty aluminum or steel cans for easier recycling. A can crusher can save you a significant amount of time and space. Using a can crusher to reduce the capacity of waste materials means cutting the expense of waste transport.

Can Densifiers

Our Can Densifiers are designed to produce a high density slug or briquette of material. Aluminum can densities of up to 30 lbs. per cubic foot and steel can densities of up to 90 lbs. per cubic foot can be achieved. Compactors Inc Densifiers are also used as filter presses and in de-watering applications.

Glass Crushers

Glass from drink bottles and food storage are a high volume contaminated waste stream. Very often this waste can become odorous and a hazard to health in storage. This material is recyclable and is passed to shore for this purpose. Glass bottle crushers are used to crush beer, wine, and liquor glass bottles. Reduces the volume of glass bottle waste resulting in lower disposal fees.

Food Waste Systems

Food waste is one of the most difficult waste to handle on board as it biodegrades readily and contribute to odor. A food grinder processes food waste into shreds, food waste can be ground and discharged in a sewer system reducing handling and disposal fees. For disposing of food wastes our food disposals or galley grinders are fully MARPOL compliant and with 316 Stainless Steel options and heavy duty IP56 rated motors; our patented designs ensure safe, simple, and reliable operation. Our galley grinders are seal to ensure strength in harsh environments. They feature 100% stainless steel cutting chambers and bowls capable of processing all food waste.

CAN CRUSHER – POWER KRUSH™

The Power Krush™ Manual Can Crusher is designed to crush empty #10 and 1 gallon cans. This rugged, heavy duty crusher will reduce can volume by up to 80%. The Power Krush™ is simple to operate and is a MONEY and space saver.

CAN CRUSHER AND GLASS CRUSHER – MODEL 150

This multi-purpose, high volume can and glass crusher is useful most anywhere glass containers and beverage cans are a disposal, storage or conversion concern. It is user friendly, easy to maintain and is highly portable with optional castors available. Built for trouble free and hard use with volume reductions of up to 80%.

Our Can Densifier models are designed to densify aluminum cans and can be used as filter presses and for dewatering applications.

CAN DENSIFIER – MODEL 10P

Our smallest Can Densifier designed for low volume recycling applications with an output capacity of 85 pounds/hr.

CAN DENSIFIER – MODEL 20P

Our most popular Can Densifer. Available in five different configurations with throughputs up to 8400 (whole uncrushed cans) per hour.

CAN DENSIFIER – MODEL 40P

Our high volume can densifier model designed for canning and large recycling operations with throughputs up to 14,700 (whole uncrushed cans) per hour.

CAN DENSIFIER – MODEL 80P

The Model 80P Can Densifier is PLC controlled and can be ordered as a fully automatic machine. It is our highest volume model designed for very high throughput operations. This machine utilizes a 36.5 cubic foot hopper and can achieve throughputs up to 12,000 (whole uncrushed cans) per hour.

FOOD GRINDER ­- MODEL CI-R SS:CF

The CI-R SS:CF Food Grinder is used in a variety of settings including offshore platforms, marine vessels, hospitals, rigs, and cafeterias. This food grinder design is completely self-contained and can be driven by electricity, hydraulic pressure or air pressure. The grinder can be used alone, or it may be used as a plug-in component to the compactor. Models are available in 5 hp, 7.5 hp, 10 hp and 15 hp electric. Meets and exceeds International Marpol 73/78 Annex V.  ABS approved.

FOOD GRINDER ­- CI-5 SS:SI

This restaurant food grinder processes food waste into shreds of 6.3mm or less with custom capacity options available. Features an automatic or manual mode operation and can be installed indoors or out. Restaurant food waste can be ground and discharged in a sewer system reducing handling and disposal fees. Includes a safety interlock on lid to prevent injury and is ABS approved. Meets and exceeds International MARPOL 73/78 Annex V.
